The Maxx Digital 48TB 8 Bay RAID Thunderbolt 2 Storage System is a storage solutuion that can house up to 48TB on a Thunderbolt 2 connection. With Thunderbolt 2, it can conduct read and write speeds of 1000+ MB/s with newer Apple products. Since this is designed to be very compact, they don't take up a lot of space at home or at the office.
This innovative high-speed technology was designed for speed, simplicity and flexibility. Thunderbolt 2 uses a dual protocol which lets you connect your devices with a single cable and transfer data up to 20Gbps in both directions. This gives you more than enough bandwidth to daisy chain 7 Thunderbolt™ devices. Thunderbolt 2 moves data 40 times faster than USB 2.0 and up to 12 times faster than FireWire 800.
