By using fiber optic cables, the new Gefen USB 400FO extends USB peripherals a long distance from the location of a computer. It provides an solution free of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) for USB extension.
How It Works
The USB 400FO sender unit is connected to the source using the supplied USB short cable. USB peripheral(s) are connected to the receiver unit at the extended side. Two LC-terminated fiber optic cables are used to link the sender to the receiver.
Note: This equipment is a new version of our existing part number, EXT-USB-400FO. This new model provides outstanding extension facilities for USB 2.0 peripherals such as a USB camera or USB hard drive.
